8 Days Tsavo – Amboseli – Aberdares – Samburu – Sweetwaters

DAY 1: NAIROBI – TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart from Nairobi by road to the legendary land of the “Man-Eaters” – Tsavo National Park. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Enjoy your lunch at your lodge. After a short break, we will commence our afternoon game drive in Tsavo and return to the lodge by 6:00 pm for dinner and overnight accommodation. Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner

DAY 2: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for its big herds of elephants and scenic view of Mt. Kilimanjaro; the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 meters above sea level. After lunch is served you’ll have time to relax or enjoy the sun heated swimming pool before leaving for another game drive in the afternoon. DAY 3: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, take off for a morning game drive. Amboseli is famous for abundant wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalo and herds of elephants roaming under the shadows of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to the camp for lunch. After lunch enjoy the cool waters in the heat of the day at the camp’s swimming pool. Whilst kids enjoy a refreshing dip, iced-drinks are available for you from the poolside bar. Relax and enjoy the afternoon before departing for an afternoon game drive. Return to the camp/lodge before dusk for dinner and overnight stay. DAY 4: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK – NAIROBI – ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast we head back to Nairobi, have lunch in Nairobi. After lunch we will depart by road to the Aberdare region: a beautiful forested mountain range in the central highlands of Kenya. Distance from Nairobi to The Aberdare Country Club is 180 kilometers, approximately 2 ½ hours driving time. As you arrive at the park gate, game drive as you head to the hotel. After check in, enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Kenya before dinner and your overnight stay. DAY 5: ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK – SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

Wake up at 6:00 am, and go for an early morning game drive at 6:30 am, before breakfast. During the morning game drive, you will search for the Black Rhino, Leopard, Baboons, the elegant Colobus Monkey. Return to the hotel before 8:00 am, have breakfast, and check out of the lodge. Head to Samburu, a fiercely beautiful National Reserve with arid savannas and watered by the Ewaso Ngiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, such as the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra and Beisa Oryx. You will stay at their Larsen Tented Camp or Samburu Intrepid Camp. Our luxurious camps set beneath a canopy of acacia trees along the banks of the river. DAY 6: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

The day will be spent between alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in a cozy camp. Wake up early, and go for an early morning game drive. Coffee and Tea should be available for you prior to our game drive. We’ll be off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. Return to the hotel for lunch, after a lazy break, head out for an afternoon game drive. Return to our camp before dusk for dinner and accommodation. DAY 7: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE – SWEETWATERS GAME SANCTUARY

Wake up early, and go for an early morning game drive. Return to the hotel for breakfast, check out, and head to the Sweetwaters Game Reserve and Chimpanzee Sanctuary. This 70,000-acre private preserve has views of the peaks of Mount Kenya and offers game drives into the countryside many travelers never see.

Upon arrival, check into our tented camp/lodge, then have lunch. Sweetwaters, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, and its sumptuous ranch were once privately owned by famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kasogi.

This afternoon game drive takes us to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps. We will also visit Baraka, a blind Black Rhino living in captivity at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Sweetwaters boasts its excellent game viewing, being the animal reserve with the highest game-to-area ratio in Kenya. Moreover, the camp has its own private waterhole and salt lick so we’ll be guaranteed close encounters to the animals. Whether its day or night game drives, camel trekking, lion tracking, al fresco dining, or relaxing by the pool, Sweetwaters is bound to delight you. DAY 8: SWEETWATERS GAME SANCTUARY – NAIROBI

Have a morning game drive to savoir the beauty of the park, and then return to lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, head back to Nairobi, the driver will drop you at the hotel/airport. This marks the end of our safari, we hope you have had a safari of a lifetime. Meal Plan: Breakfast Accommodation: Own arrangement

Game drives in a 4×4 Safari Van or Land Cruiser (optional with different cost) that are custom built to provide ample leg room, large pop-up roof hatches for game viewing and photographic opportunities and fitted with two spare tires, cooler boxes, equipped toolkits, a comprehensive first aid kits, fire extinguishers, seat belts, canvas seats and VHF radios.
